Haris is an Australian trained Physiotherapist specialised in the management of Sports and Musculoskeletal injuries. He has over 20 years of clinical and teaching experience and has worked in Singapore’s major acute hospitals like Tan Tock Seng Hospital and Singapore General Hospital. Haris was the lead physiotherapist of the Musculoskeletal Out-patient Department and the Sports Medicine and Surgery Clinic.
Having completed his Masters in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy in 1999, Haris has worked alongside some of the renowned names in the field of Musculoskeletal and sports Physiotherapy. He has a special interest in Sports Injury management and has specialised in the assessment and management of Golf Injuries. He also works closely with professional dancers and conducts screening and assessment of Dance Injuries.
He has a keen interest in Functional Movement and is a certified in Functional Movement Screening (FMS) and Selective Functional Movement Screening (SFMA) – fantastic tools in assessing and managing function and movement.
Additionally, he is an adjunct lecturer at the The Physiotherapy program at Singapore Institute Technology and was a clinical educator for physiotherapy students at Nanyang Polytechnic School of Physiotherapy. Haris is a recipient of the National Day President’s award for Efficiency in Health Care, in 2014.
Haris's clinical specialties are Post-Operative Rehabilitation, Functional Movement and sports Screening, Management of shoulder, knee and back injuries, and Dry Needling.
